Several times a year, News 8 On Your Side gives viewers the opportunity to protect themselves and their family from identity theft.
News 8 is once again teaming up with Shred-it of Central Pa. to provide a chance to get rid of personal documents that scammers would love to get their hands on.
The next event is scheduled for July 16. The hours have been expanded to 3 to 6 p.m.
Once again, News 8 will return to the Burle Business Park on New Holland Avenue in Lancaster.
This is a great location with easy access right off the New Holland Pike exit, one block south of Route 30.
Each vehicle will be allowed to drop off two medium-sized boxes of personal documents, including tax returns, medical records, insurance forms or old bank statements.
In return, viewers are asked to donate at least two non-perishable food items that will go directly to the Central Pa Food Bank.
